innovative marketing....or sign 'o the times?
Kye Grace a realtor in Vancouver is holding a 72 hour open house in downtown Vancouver in the Gastown area. The open house is for a condo he has for sale in a heritage loft in a building built in 1910.
The market we have right now is calling for innovative ways to market our listings. A 72 hour open may be a little on the extreme, however the spotlight will shine bright on Kye and his listing this weekend......
With the newspaper industry reeling from the price of production and a decline in readership as well as advertising revenue, we are faced with a shrinking (aging) readership in newsprint and a loss of major dailies. Realtors have to be creative and have an extreme on-line presence as well as a good understanding how web 2.0 will impact the maximum marketing of real estate properties.
I know by creating a presence on twitter, facebook, squidoo, this blog, plus multiple on-line networking sites with my peers in the industry, I am able to maximize the exposure of my clients properties. And yes, facebook is great for linking with friends who I've lost contact with over the years (making those reunions easier to organize?...however someone has to organize it, haha) it's also great for creating an online network of peers in the industry.
