These are truly times of challenge. Are we seeing a change in an axis of power in the world?
It seems we in Canada and our financial institutions are financially sound (so the 'experts' tell us), however when the elephant rolls over or catches the flu, the beaver lying next door will feel some results, it only makes sense.
The real estate market in the Lower Mainland is certainly seeing change...compared to 12 months ago. Was this 'a long time comin'? Debatable......did the market outprice itself? .....also debatable. There were and are now,buyers and sellers active in the market. I am still busy with buyers moving into our area as well as have clients who are moving up or downsizing.
It is truly is time to take a rational approach to selling and buying real estate in BC. For those in the market right now, there could be great 'deals out there; just make sure all of the homework is done.
Hire a Realtor. They will work on your side with your purchase or sale. They will be able to move aside the emotion of the deal and look at it professionally.
