Fast Train from BC to California
I did for a few months in my 20's and the memories are still with me (a little hazier now tho'). I will never forget the ease of use (outside of the late arrivers in certain un-named countries as well as the strikes by employees) and the beauty of being able to travel at very high speeds while still getting a feel for the countryside.
Right now we have an Amtrak service from Portand to Vancouver, however let's think of the opportunity of a high-speed track running up the Pacific and ending in Abottsford. With another light-rail link to the rest of the western Lower mainland onward to the City of Vancouver.........
Think of the business opportunities as well as the tourist growth both north and south.

Just the thought of being able to travel on train up and down the pacific coast is enticing itself. But what it opens up in regards to business, tourist travel and creating a bond along the west coast should be seen as a positive.
Now if we could just get the politicians to think that way..... Ken
